Fantastic experience from sales to parts guys! Friendly, knowledgeable, and fair on pricing.
I never felt as bad treated as a customer like in this place as far as honesty goes. they basically tried to trick me with the motorcycle sale price knowing that the time factor was a sensitive matter. The second hand manager asked me from the very beginning for how much I wanted to sell my motorcycle, I said at least $6000 (for a 2007 yamaha R1 with 13k miles) and he did no say anything but he nod with the head, while he was towing my bike (because it was storaged and I didn't want to crank it just bc if you do that you can damage the engine), he totally wasted all my time (several days) just to tell me that he offered me $2000 for my bike (last offer). Not only this, knowing that the bike was storage and after telling them not to crank the bike without changing the gas ,oil and some other stuff before, they simply did it, totally disregarding my orders. When I asked for explanation about this, He just told me literally "when are you going to take your bike from my place?" in a very rude tone, no apologies not any explanation and on top of that charging me for checking if the bike starts (and some made up BS) which actually could totally have ruined my bike... I never have seen such a lack of professionalism in my whole life. I cannot recommend this place by any means specially for the second hand motorcycle market... I can not imagine how any of those second hand motorcycles that they sell can be right if they just pay such a ridiculous amount of money to the owners (I did not have any trouble selling my bike after this per $6000) and they do that kind of catastrophic maintenance to them. I would never ever would buy any motorcycle from them new or used knowing how they treat the motorcycles behind the scenes, the client, and the total lack of knowledge about mechanics. Best thing you can do is stay away from this place.
Perfect place to buy a motorcycle. I bought my first bike there got it down to a reasonable price and they weren't pushing me. Most likely gonna go there to buy my next bike.
I recently purchased a 2017 z650 from the sales team, unfortunately for me I was in a minor accident just two months later. Like anyone else would have done I took my bike to Ellicott City Motorsports to have a damage estimate completed. The original figure I was told was $106.00 for the estimate, after a series of events and asking them to communicate with my insurance (photos) they attempted to charge my insurance company and additional 3 hours estimate labor and 2 hours photo and email labor? The estimate emailed to me was $3019 and my insurance company told me theirs was north of $3700, understand that my estimate already included 2 hours of diagnostic for the estimate (which was higher then what they had originally told me and I was never told why this figure went up) I decided to pick up the bike and pay my $106, unfortunately for me they decided to charge me $348 which laughingly included $5 in hazardous waste disposal which was not relevant to my estimate. Mike Russ and another fellow took me into the office to discuss the amount owed. After a while of back and forth they threatened me they would keep the bike and I can get a lawyer if I do not pay the amount they are asking. With all this being said I work in the same industry (automotive) so I am aware of how long the estimate process should take. Keep in mind there is no evidence they had removed any parts from my bike for when I picked up the bike without notice it was still completely together. I do not recommend this facility for service on any motorcycle for the lack of customer appreciation and lack of proper communication within the time frame of receiving an estimate. The entire time my bike was in the shop I did not once receive an update phone call including any information I was not already aware of. They lost a customer who will buy bikes in the future just not from them over a couple hundred dollars and poor customer service.
Awesome dealership. Personnel store-wide are courteous and knowledgeable. Normally has the parts I'm looking for in stock or can get them within a couple of days. Their service department works in a timely fashion and that attention to detail is hard to find. The sales floor is always clean and the sales guys are not trying to sell you the right bike for them but to sell you the right bike for you. I have purchased multiple bikes from them and will continue to do so. They have always earned my repeat business. Keep up the good work guys.
