Awesome for short hikes, well maintained for the most part
The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) Rangers don't enforce the park rules. Overcrowding--Too many people congregate on the EC side to picnic. There are 'no' bathroom facilities and for past few years people are allowed to Grill anywhere on the river. However, the Howard County Police don't think twice about writing $50.00 tickets to citizens who cannot find a parking space due to the 'hordes of people who show up from all over to walk in and grill & picnic . No tickets or warnings to them!
Great place for walking, and trails nearby for hiking
The location itself is gorgeous but the hiking trails are covered in garbage and the trail signs/markers need to be updated...
