Great place to take your four legged friends, or your children. The park is humongous offering great spots for picnic on the grass. Not too much shades though, but it does offer a great view of the water.

Beautiful and safe setting, but usually too busy. The paths around the lake are rather small considering the amount of traffic (particularly bikes and dogs) on them. If you want to escape crowds and enjoy nature, this is not the place for you.

Centennial is a great park for exercise. We walk our dog there regularly and the pathway is well maintained for walking and biking. The playgrounds and fields are often in use, but there is always adequate parking in one of several lots and we've never had trouble finding a spot, unlike in some other parks in Howard County. If you want a nice place to go for a couple of mile walk, I recommend it.

A very fine park, bustling with activity, especially on weekends. Loads of people come out in nice weather to enjoy this space, so if you're looking for solitude, look elsewhere. A good place for running, walking and biking. Large playground for the little ones. All sorts of boating on the lake, so long as it's self-propelled. Lawns and paths are well-maintained, and crews were even diligently emptying refuse containers. Multiple entrances with separate parking areas so you can visit a different section of the park each time.

Love this park! I've been visiting it for years and they only continue to improve. It's a lovely area with lot's of wildlife and a beautiful walk around the lake.

Nearby, Lake Kittamaqundi is typically less crowded, but it's also not as safe because of this given its proximity to low-income housing.
