We ordered sushi, chicken curry (special of the day), and a takoyaki, a ball-shaped dumpling filled with diced octopus and onion and covered in a delicious brown sauce. Everything was excellent. The cafe was peaceful, clean, and the staff were very welcoming. A woman who seemed to be the owner was very friendly and answered our many questions. Everyone was kind to our children. If you are in the area, if not for a meal, stop in for a snack, tea, or one of their unique desserts.
Overpriced for mediocre Japanese food. Cute atmosphere, but otherwise not worth your time
Cute cafe. I got some dry Korean food when I went. I can't remember what it was. But I do remember it being tasty. Something about the whole experience just didn't seal the deal for me though. It's not that it was bad, I just don't think I'd recommend it to anyone. I'm sure I'll be back to try sushi or ramen though. Hopefully it is better
I think we got the idea of the place wrong. This restaurant is for snacking while touring the area, not a real meal. After spending half the day in the zoo, my husband, me and our 3 year old boy went in for a fulfilling ramen meal, as what what we were expecting from most Japanese places that serve ramen. BUT, we ended up paying almost $70 for a pot of tea, an order of shrimp tempura roll, an order of octopus ball, THREE bowls of ramen and two scoops of ice cream. And barely felt full!!! We are definitely not big stomach. Normally a bowl of ramen and a couple bites of other stuff would make either of us very full. The two guys at the front desk were really nice, patient and helpful. They mess up the quantity of our order and we actually paid $6 less than we should. Really appreciated the gesture. But the Asian lady never looked at me while talking to me. The food was pretty good, but SMALL portion and over priced. The $12 ramen bowl was the smallest I've ever seen, about 5 inch in diameter. It was so small portion that I thought that was one ramen order split into two halves. The ramen soup tasted good but not very hot, and the noodle could been boiled for another one or two minutes. Anyway, won't come back again for the price.
One of the best Matcha spots that ive been to. I got Matcha tea, and Matcha Ice Cream. The ice cream machine was broken (i think) at the time, but it was still delicious.
